JLS Publishers LLC ("JLS," "we," "us," or "our") values our relationship with you and is sensitive to your privacy concerns. • Professional or employment-related information; 

• Specified in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (20 U.S.C. section 1232(g), 34 C.F.R. Part 99) education information that is not publicly available, including personally identifiable information;

• Inferences taken from any of the information listed in this section to produce a consumer profile representing the customer's preferences, traits, psychological patterns, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intellect, talents, and aptitudes.

Sensitive Personal Information - We gather Sensitive Personal Information directly from you, the consumer, and we employ clear permission detailing what we use it for at the time we acquire it. We also often aggregate this data. 

In the previous 12 months, we have gathered the following types of Sensitive Personal Information from consumers: Government identification. Social Security numbers, driver's licenses, state identity cards, and passport numbers are examples of government identification.

Information about account access. Account log-in, financial account, debit card, or credit card number, together with any requisite security or access code, password, or credentials allowing access to an account.

Sensitive demographic information. Racial or ethnic background, religious or philosophical opinions, or union membership are all examples of personal information.

How We Collect Your Personal Information Through the Services:

• Purchasing of goods. We gather Identifiers, Personal Information, and Commercial Information such as your name, credit or debit card information, postal address, telephone number, email address, and other billing information when you purchase a book or other product through our Services.

• Subscriptions to newsletters. We gather Identifiers such as your email address when you subscribe to our newsletters. We gather additional Personal Information that may be relevant for particular newsletters, such as your name, work position, interests, and similar information.

• Sweepstakes, competitions, and other promotional activities. When you enter sweepstakes, competitions, or other similar promotions, we gather Identifiers like your name, email address, and postal address, as well as Commercial Information like proof of purchase.

• Registration for programs and events. We gather Identifiers such as your name and email address when you register for our programs, events, or conferences.

• Reading preferences and market research. We collect Reading Preferences, Identifiers, Sensitive Demographic Information, and Internet Activity Information (e.g., author, genre) when you give information via voluntary surveys or feedback conducted via the Services, the platforms of our service providers, by phone, or during in-person interviews and focus groups.

• Divisional Influencer programs. We may gather Identifiers and Sensitive Demographic Information when you engage in divisional Influencer initiatives.

• User-generated content. We collect Personal Information when you provide user-generated content, such as comments, reviews, or other material, through online communities and other publicly available sections of the Services. Any Personal Information you publish in these public forums may be seen by other users of our Services. We are not responsible for any Personal Information you choose to submit, and we are under no obligation to publish, remove, or edit any of your submissions (unless required by relevant laws).

• Job applications. In connection with your application for a position at JLS, we gather Identifiers, Personal Information, Professional Information, and Education Information.

• Contact with our Customer Service. We gather Identifiers and Personal Information from you in both online and offline situations, such as when you call customer service or place a purchase over the phone.
